Downed Texas Rider
Brothers and Sisters,
I would like to ask for your prayers for a fellow rider. He went down this weekend doing a Toys for Tots ride in Killeen. His name is Dale Woods. Both my ex and I worked with him in EMS, he was a fellow Medical Reserve Corps volunteer and was instrumental in helping me create and put into motion the CERT and Search and Rescue Team in Evant, Tx. He was a key player in both organizations in Gatesville as well. He is fighting for his life tonight with a traumatic brain injury. Please add him in your prayers.

So far, Dale is still with us. He made it through the night, but is running fever. They are going to see about the possibility of waking him Wed if he is stable enough. Thank you to all who have added him to their prayers and in advance to those who still will.

Dear Lord, Please have your angels take Dale Woods in their wings and hold him tight and guide him to safety. Lord, Please hear our prayers. Let Dale Woods know and his friends and family that we care and we have him in our prayers while you keep him safe in your arms. Love Cherokee

UPDATE--- As of this morning, the doctors are suggesting that Nancy pull the plug on his life support. She is struggling with this. Yesterday morning she was told he would pull through. Our prayers need to be that she is given her answer along with the peace she needs with that decision. She is wanting to talk to his main Dr first. I will keep you all posted. Thank you for the prayers and suppoert in their time of need.

NOV 22 UPDATE:
Today they took Dale Woods off of the vent. Yesterday they suggested pulling the plug. When the meds allowed him to awaken some, he was a bit responsive. He was trying to move his legs some, even squeezing her hand in response to a question here and there. Best of all, when she told him she loved him, a tear rolled down his cheek. Some one is home inside of him.

Have been praying for Dale and Nancy both! Please let her know that she is in our hearts and prayers along with Dale. I am so glad to here the good report that he responded...even if by a single tear! I will continue to lift them up in prayer. Please keep us informed as to how he is!! So far, Dale is still with us. They have a donations site set up. Something about "dalesmoderndaymiracle" I will get the info and post it. Thank you all for your prayers.
