Gary, It makes me so, dam happy that finally my voice concerning my son will be heard. Loyola diagnosed him again with BiPolar Affectives Disorder just last week. My son brought me the paper home and showed me. If, I see my son today I am going to copy it and try and convince my son to go with me downtown tomorrow. If, not I will go with what paperwork I have. Hi Gary I recieved this from the reporter at Chicago Tribune today about my son thought I would share:

RE: Vulnerable residents sometimes in dangerous living situations‏
From: Jackson, David (dyjackson@tribune.com)
Sent: Mon 10/19/09 8:18 AM
To: grandmalynn grandma (grandmalynn@live.com)

Hi Linda:
I wanted to let you know that Gov. Pat Quinn’s Nursing Home Safety Task Force will take testimony at an open, public meeting tomorrow (Tuesday), and has also announced a Web site, NursingHomeSafety.Illinois.gov, where people can submit comments and recommendations. Tomorrow's meeting will be held at 10 a.m. in the James R. Thompson Center, Room 16-503, 100 West Randolph Street in Chicago.
Your reflections about your son were touching and have been helpful to our reporting, and I thought you might want to consider offering your thoughts to the task force as it examines Illinois's reliance on nursing facilities to house younger adults with mental illness and convicted felons.

Hello Brothers and Sisters

My name is Sammy Vega I am a fulltime member of the Calumet City Fire Dept Local 621 Firefighters Association. We and FOP lodge 1 are sponsoring the "Guns n Hoses Ride for Fallen Heroes 09".

This is our first annual run, the premise behind it is that we will honor on an annual basis a member of the police, fire, ems, or military. Our beneficiary this year is the family Ronnie "Doc" Battiato who was fulltime member of the South Chicago Heights Fire Dept and an Crictical Care paramedic employed by Air Angels. Ronnie was killed last fall in a tragic crash while transporting an critical infant. He is survived by a loving wife and their six children. Ronnie was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who loved his family, his job and hittin the pavement.

Please join us on June 13th for our first annual run. Enclosed are some files for your viewing and a flyer we are handing out around the southside. The file attached newbarflyerpdf is contains all the run stops as well as a ton of other infol

Thank you for your time

Fraternally

Sammy Vega
